| Spiritual Concept of Marriage
...the man said: "This one, at last, is the bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman', for out of 'her man' this one has been taken". That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body. (Genesis 2:23, 24)
The Lord, our God, The Creator, is Love itself and Wisdom itself. This is the most fundamental universal principal. All that is created by Him, therefore, contains some good from His Love and some truth from His Wisdom, and these, of course, pertain to us, His creation. This union of Divine Love with Divine Wisdom in the Lord, our God, is the essence of what we term "marriage". Spiritually speaking, the marriage of man and woman is nothing else but the conjunction of truth with its good, or a good with its truth. The man being that truth by the reception of the Lord's wisdom, while the woman being that good by the reception of the Lord's love. There is no solitary good or solitary truth; they exist only in conjunction with each other! Furthermore, the truth is always from good, as the good is always from truth, thus they seek conjunction, or marriage. Man is born that he may be this wisdom and the woman is born that she may be the love of man's wisdom! In this way, they are one, for her life is in him and his in her. TWO BODIES, BUT ONE SOUL! This constitutes the basis of marriage between a man and a woman naturally, as it is spiritually, the marriage of truth with good.
May you be with the Lord, as He is with you, with us, always and unceasingly, so that His blessings may be upon you forever.
